INTER-CLASS TRIBAL PAINTING COMPETITION (III-V)
"Folk and tribal art are the vibrant threads that stitch together the fabric of our culture and history."
To celebrate the vibrant cultural heritage of India, DAV Public School, Sector–49, Gurugram, organised Inter-Class Tribal Painting Competitions for Classes III, IV, and V on 8 August 2025. Each class explored a distinct tribal art form, allowing students to experience and appreciate the rich diversity of Indian folk traditions.
Class III students expressed themselves through the simple yet profound motifs of Warli Art, Class IV participants explored the intricate and lively designs of Gond Art, while Class V artists brought the detailed beauty of Madhubani Art to life. This creative exercise nurtured the students’ artistic skills, patience, and understanding of indigenous cultures.
The competition helped foster creativity, encouraging students to experiment with patterns, colors, and themes inspired by nature and everyday life. Beyond technique, the event instilled a deeper respect for India’s tribal heritage, connecting young learners with stories and symbols passed down through generations.
