B-FinSmart 3.0 - Fostering Financial Intelligence Through Inclusivity and Innovation

DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram hosted the third edition of its flagship inter-school financial literacy event, B-FinSmart 3.0, on 8th and 9th October 2025. It was a remarkable collaboration uniting government and private schools of Gurugram with international schools, celebrating the spirit of shared knowledge beyond boundaries.

The two-day mega event, rooted in the spirit of inclusivity, brought together over 30 teams from schools across India, Oman, and the UAE-  with five Government Schools of Gurugram participating enthusiastically on-site, reinforcing the school’s commitment to equity in learning and equal opportunity. The event further embraced diversity through online participation of students from Lucknow, Dehradun, and across the international borders of Oman and Dubai, creating a truly global learning community.

Day 1 commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge and enlightenment. The keynote address by Dr. Shunil Tripathi, a renowned financial coach and mentor, set the tone for the day with his insightful session on Business and Financial Analysis. Students from different countries joined the session online, reflecting the global reach and inclusivity of the event. Participants then engaged in the Application of Financial Analysissegment, showcasing creativity and analytical skills. The concluding session on Chart Patterns and Technical Indicatorsenhanced their understanding of market trends and investment strategies, making the day intellectually enriching.

Day 2 unfolded with renewed enthusiasm and a spirit of competition. The day began with a student query session and news-based company analysis, challenging participants to apply real-time financial reasoning. An exclusive teacher enrichment session by Dr. (CA) G. S. Grewal offered educators valuable insights into competency-based questioning in Accountancy.

The school then extended a green welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. Sunil Bajaj, Additional Director, SCERT, Gurugram, Haryana, a distinguished educationist with extensive expertise in curriculum design and teacher training, who has contributed to national and international academic forums and projects with NCERT and SCERT. He was joined by an eminent panel of judges and dignitaries, including Mr. Pankaj Dhingra, Mr. Surender Madan, and school alumnus Mr. Harsh Gupta. The final round presentations saw dynamic performances by shortlisted teams, both on-site and internationally, as overseas participants shared their presentations online, which were also evaluated by the esteemed panel of judges. The competition reflected innovation, analytical depth, and an impressive grasp of financial concepts.

The event concluded with an inspiring address by Principal Ms. Charu Maini, who commended the participants’ intellect, creativity, and collaborative spirit. The valedictory ceremony celebrated the winners and marked the successful culmination of two days filled with learning, innovation, and youthful brilliance.

B-FinSmart 3.0 truly stood as a testament to DAV 49’s commitment to nurturing financial literacy, inclusivity, equity in learning, critical thinking, and globally aware, future-ready learners.
