Inter-House Science Quiz Competition (III-V)

An Inter-House Science Quiz Competition was held on 27th October 2025 at DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram for students of Classes III to V. The event aimed to ignite curiosity and interest in science among young learners. Students from all the six houses participated with great enthusiasm, eager to showcase their knowledge and quick thinking. The quiz began with an inspiring address by the science teacher, who reminded everyone that science is not merely about learning facts but about understanding and exploring the world around us.

The competition comprised several exciting rounds such as Rapid Fire, Visual Identification etc. Questions covered a wide range of topics including the plant and animal kingdom, universe, environment, health and nutrition, and everyday science. Participants answered confidently, displaying sharp reasoning, curiosity, and presence of mind. Each team demonstrated excellent teamwork, while the audience actively participated in interactive rounds, making the event even more engaging. The quiz not only enhanced students’ scientific knowledge but also fostered teamwork, critical thinking, quick decision-making and a healthy sense of competition among young learners.

In the end, Neeti House secured the first position, followed by Preeti House and Jyoti House, while the other houses also performed admirably. Our esteemed Principal Ma’am, Ms Charu Maini, graced the occasion with her presence and encouraged the students to keep their spirit of curiosity alive and continue exploring the wonders of science. The Primary Wing Supervisory Head, Ms.Priya Bhandari, congratulated all the participants and appreciated their enthusiasm and efforts. The event concluded with loud applause and smiling faces, inspiring every student to continue their journey of scientific discovery and curiosity.
