A Free Mammography Camp was organized on 3rd and 4th November 2025 at DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Gurugram, the Interact Club, and Action Cancer Hospital. The initiative, coordinated under Mr. Sanjeev Budhiraja, aimed to promote women’s health, breast cancer awareness, and preventive healthcare among the school’s female staff members and supporting staff (Didis).

The camp received an overwhelming response from the participants. It provided a valuable opportunity for early detection, medical guidance, and open discussions about health issues that are often neglected due to busy schedules or hesitation.

Physician Dr. Janvi Pupreja addressed the attendees with an enlightening session on breast cancer awareness, reproductive health, and the importance of regular check-ups. Her interactive talk helped break myths and encouraged women to prioritize their health and well-being. Dr. Pupreja also interacted with medical aspirants, sharing her experiences and providing valuable guidance for medical entrance examinations, motivating them to pursue their goals with focus and determination.

The mammography tests were conducted with great care and efficiency by Radiology Technicians Mrs. Sumitra Mittal and Mrs. Gunjan Garg. The Action Cancer Hospital arranged the mammography van and necessary medical facilities, ensuring smooth and effective conduct of all tests. The overall coordination and medical guidance were further supported by School Physician Dr. Meenakshi, whose contribution added great value to the event.

The camp witnessed active participation and appreciation from both teaching and non-teaching staff. It created an atmosphere of awareness, empathy, and empowerment, reminding everyone of the importance of preventive healthcare and timely medical screening.

The success of the camp was made possible under the guidance and support of the Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, whose encouragement and leadership ensured smooth organization and meaningful participation.
