To commemorate 150 glorious years of the National Song Vande Mataram, a grand District Level Celebration was organized on 7th November 2025 at DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram. The event aimed to instill a deep sense of patriotism, cultural pride, and reverence towards the motherland among the students. The occasion was celebrated with great zeal and a spirit of nationalism.The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Om Prakash Dhankhar, former Minister, Government of Haryana and National Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party. Upon his arrival, he inaugurated the exhibition based on Vande Mataram, which showcased captivating posters, paintings, collages, and historical information that drew immense appreciation from all present. He was accompanied by Shri Sarvapriya Tyagi, District President; Mrs. Gargi Kakkar, BJP State Secretary; Shri Vatsal Vashisht, ADC Gurugram; Shri Sanjeev Singhal, SDM Gurugram; and Shri Samit Kumar, CEO District Council.Principal Ms. Charu Maini extended a green welcome to all the esteemed guests, symbolizing the school’s commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness. She felicitated the Chief Guest with a momento and expressed heartfelt gratitude for his gracious presence and inspiring words.The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tribute to Bharat Mata. The melodious welcome song presented by the school’s music department created a soulful atmosphere charged with patriotic fervour. A mesmerizing folk dance performance by the students beautifully depicted the diversity and unity of Indian culture.This was followed by the collective singing of the National Song Vande Mataram by all students and dignitaries, filling the entire campus with a resonant wave of patriotism. The Chief Guest, Shri Om Prakash Dhankhar, in his inspiring address, urged the students to uphold India’s cultural heritage, language, and national pride.Around 4000 students witnessed the live telecast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address, which added grandeur and significance to the occasion. The event concluded with the collective singing of the Haryana State Song, leaving behind an ambience of enthusiasm, discipline, and national devotion.The entire celebration stood as a testimony to the school’s patriotic ethos and the students’ deep-rooted commitment to cultural values.
