INTER HOUSE COMPETITION(III-V)

“Health is the greatest wealth, and mindful eating is its first investment.”

The Inter House Competition “Hari-bhari Plate – Healthy Diet Plate” for Classes III to V was conducted at DAV Public School, Sector–49, Gurugram on 20 November 2025 with great enthusiasm and creativity. The event aimed to promote healthy eating habits among students while giving them an opportunity to showcase their culinary skills in an innovative, fireless format. Each house participated with three enthusiastic students, making the event vibrant and engaging.

Participants were instructed to prepare an innovative healthy plate using a minimum of eight ingredients, along with a refreshing drink and a flavourful chutney. A neatly designed menu card was mandatory. As per the rules, no heating method was allowed at school, although boiled items prepared at home were permitted.

The young chefs amazed everyone with their colourful, nutritious, and creatively presented plates. The judges praised all the students for their originality, thoughtful presentation, and excellent selection of healthy ingredients, appreciating the effort that each participant had put into their work.

The competition not only encouraged students to understand the value of a balanced diet but also provided them with a platform to express creativity and teamwork. It successfully instilled a positive approach towards healthy eating and mindful food choices. Participants of Shakti house won the First prize, participants of Kirti house won the Second prize, participants of Preeti and Jagriti house jointly won the Third prize. Participants of Neeti and Jyoti house won the Encouragement prize.
