“The measure of life is not its duration, but its donation.”

A seminar on Organ Donation and Transplant was conducted on 24 November 2025 for the students of Grades IX and XI at DAV Public School, Sector–49, Gurugram. The session was held under the program “Angdaan Mahadaan,” initiated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana and ORGAN India, an initiative of the Parashar Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to raising awareness about organ donation and transplantation.

The seminar was led by Ms. Divya Gusain, Project Associate, ORGAN India, who delivered a highly informative and engaging presentation. She explained the life-saving importance of organ donation, the medical and legal aspects involved, and the urgent need for donors in India.

The session highlighted organ donation as a noble and selfless act that has the potential to save multiple lives. Students actively participated in the interactive segment, asked thoughtful questions, and Ms. Divya Gusain addressed their doubts with clarity and patience, making the session deeply meaningful.

Our respected Principal Ma’am shared her views on the significance of organ donation and appreciated ORGAN India’s efforts in promoting awareness among students. She encouraged students to understand the humanitarian essence of organ donation and contribute positively by spreading awareness in society.
