The nationwide ‘No नशा Nation’ Campaign, initiated under the inspiration of Padma Shri Dr. Punam Suri, Hon’ble President, DAV CMC, was celebrated with great devotion, discipline, and collective enthusiasm across Haryana on 7 December 2025. Organised jointly by Arya Yuva Samaj and DAV Institutions, under the leadership and vision of Sh. Yogi Suri ji, National President, Arya Yuva Samaj, this historic initiative witnessed simultaneous 100-Kundiya Hawans across the state to spread awareness against substance abuse and inspire the youth towards a healthy, responsible, and value-based life. DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram proudly led the event at Ryders’ Academy, Uppal’s Southend, where the entire programme was coordinated and executed under the leadership of the Principal, Ms. Charu Maini. The day began with a vibrant rally led by students and teachers, spreading powerful messages of awareness against drug abuse throughout the community. This was followed by the Hawan, which commenced at 11:00 a.m., with a large gathering of students, parents, teachers, staff members, and community representatives. Vedic chants and sacred offerings filled the atmosphere with spiritual energy and strengthened the collective resolve for a drug-free society. The playing of the “No Nasha Anthem” further enriched the environment, inspiring a sense of unity, commitment, and motivation among all participants. The event was graced by eminent guests whose presence added honour and inspiration to the occasion. The Chief Guest, DEO Captain Indu Boken, along with ACP Sh. Amit Bhatia, Councillor Sh. Vikramjeet Singh, Councillor Sh. Kuldeep Yadav, SHO Sh. Sukhbir Jakhar, and proud DAV alumna & national shooter Ms. Shveta Khatana, extended their support to the campaign and motivated the students. Representatives from Uppal Southend RWA, The Nile RWA, and the Rotary Club were also present, showing strong community solidarity and support for the initiative. As part of the programme, DAV Public School, Sector-49 presented an impactful nukkad natak highlighting the harmful effects of drug addiction. The students depicted the dangers of substance abuse with powerful expressions, leaving a deep impression on the audience. Students, teachers, and community members also took a united pledge for a Nasha-Mukt Bharat, reaffirming their collective commitment to promoting a healthier and addiction-free future. The Gurugram Administration extended full support to the event by ensuring fire-safety arrangements, first-aid facilities, and the presence of senior officials. Their involvement strengthened the message that a drug-free society can be achieved only when both community and administration work hand-in-hand. With the participation of nearly 400 attendees, the 100-Kundiya Hawan at Ryders’ Academy emerged as a meaningful blend of spirituality and social awareness. The initiative served as a strong reminder to the youth to stay away from harmful substances, embrace healthy habits, and become responsible citizens. The Chief Guest, DEO Captain Indu Boken, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of leading a drug-free life and encouraging the youth to make responsible choices. In her concluding address, the School Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all distinguished guests, administrative officials, parents, students, and supporting organisations. She motivated the students to stay away from addiction and adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. The programme concluded with a renewed pledge and collective determination to continue working towards building a safe, healthy, and drug-free India.
