DAV Public School, Sector–49, Gurugram proudly hosted and organised ‘Chess Mate’ – Inter School Chess Tournament (Zone–6, Gurugram) in collaboration with the National Progressive Schools’ Conference on 17th and 18th December 2025.

The two-day tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from young chess enthusiasts across the zone, with 11 teams competing in the Girls’ category and 12 teams in the Boys’ category. The event provided a stimulating platform for students to showcase their strategic thinking, sportsmanship and love for the game.

The tournament was marked by intense matches, disciplined play and a vibrant competitive spirit, making it a memorable experience for all participants. DAV Public School continues to encourage such intellectual pursuits that nurture critical thinking and holistic development among students.
