The morning sun, in its golden splendour, heralded a day of fresh beginnings for the parents of new Nursery and LKG students at DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram. The day commenced with a guided tour of the school campus for the parents, confidently conducted by the students of the Primary Wing, offering them a firsthand glimpse into the school’s vibrant learning spaces and nurturing environment. The School Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, accorded a warm welcome to the parents and congratulated them on becoming a part of the DAV family. She conducted the Parent Orientation Programme, effectively familiarising the parents with the school’s educational philosophy, vision, and remarkable achievements, leaving the audience deeply impressed and reassured. She shared valuable insights on effective parenting, underscoring the significance of qualities such as resilience, hard work, and sincerity. The Supervisory Head, Ms. Timsy Bhatia, addressed contemporary concerns. She sensitised parents to the need to regulate their child's screen time and cautioned them about the adverse impact of excessive screen exposure. The programme concluded on an engaging note with a Karadi Path session, which proved to be a delightful and enriching experience for the parents. The Orientation Programme was well received and widely appreciated, reflecting the school’s commitment to strengthening the school–parent partnership.
