DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram proudly hosted Appreciation Day 2026 on 28 March 2026 for Classes III to V, beautifully weaving together recognition and creativity through the enchanting presentation of The Blue Umbrella, a heartfelt tribute to the exceptional accomplishments of our young academic achievers.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Poonam Sachdeva, Regional Officer, Gurugram, in the gracious presence of Ms. Adarsh Kohli, Manager of the school. The programme was further honoured by the presence of Ms. Nancy Sharma, Principal of DAV Police Public School, Bhondsi, Ms. Nisha Kaushik, Principal of DAV Hailey Mandi, and Ms. Priyanka, Principal of DAV Public School, Vasant Kunj, adding stature and dignity to the event.

The programme commenced with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolising wisdom, enlightenment, and positivity. The atmosphere then came alive with a melodious Instrumental Band performance, soulful Vocal Music, and a graceful Welcome Dance, setting an elegant and celebratory tone for the event. A proud and inspiring highlight of the day was the *Prize Distribution Ceremony*, where the academic achievers of Classes III to V were felicitated for their dedication, perseverance, and excellence.

Thereafter, the School Report, showcasing the institution’s remarkable progress and milestones, was presented and further reflected in the inspiring Principal’s address by Ms. Charu Maini, who emphasised the school’s unwavering commitment to values, holistic development, and academic excellence.

The audience was then spellbound by the captivating musical dance drama, The Blue Umbrella, which beautifully brought Ruskin Bond’s timeless tale to life through expressive performances, music, and vibrant storytelling.

In her address, Chief Guest Ms. Poonam Sachdeva highly appreciated the school’s strong value system, applauded the commendable achievements of the students, and praised the thoughtfully curated programme that seamlessly blended celebration with culture and creativity.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by the Supervisory Head, Ms. Priya Bhandari, who expressed sincere gratitude to everyone whose relentless efforts, dedication, and teamwork made the celebration a resounding success.
