An orientation session for the upcoming Inter-House Parliamentary Debate Competition was conducted on 9th April 2026 for the students of Class XI at DAV Public School, Sector-49,Gurugram. The session was facilitated by Ms. Meenakshi, PGT Political Science, along with her team of Class XII students, Tanishka (XII-F) and Hanu (XII-F), who guided the participants on the format, rules, and expectations of a parliamentary-style debate.

Ms. Meenakshi explained the importance of thorough research, structured argumentation, and respectful rebuttal in parliamentary debates. Tanishka and Hanu also assisted in explaining the debate format, roles of speakers, and the judging criteria, which included content, presentation style, adherence to format, and overall impact.

The session proved to be informative and engaging, helping students gain a clear understanding of parliamentary debating and motivating them to participate in the upcoming competition with confidence and enthusiasm.
