The school grounds of DAV Public School, Sec-49, Gurugram came alive with energy and excitement on the vibrant evening of JAZBA, the Annual Sports Day for the young athletes of Class II. The event beautifully brought together students, teachers, parents and grandparents in a spirited celebration of athleticism, discipline and teamwork, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.
Adding prestige to the occasion was the esteemed Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Anjan Kumar, Joint Dean, Students’ Welfare, University of Delhi, and Professor, Department of Hindi, Zakir Husain Delhi College. His inspiring words and gracious presence ignited a spark of motivation in every young athlete.The festivities commenced with a flawless March Past, showcasing discipline, coordination and team spirit among the young participants. This was followed by the ceremonial Torch Relay, a powerful symbol of aspiration and perseverance presented to the School Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, igniting a spark of enthusiasm in every young heart. A vibrant balloon release marked the joyful culmination of the opening ceremony. In her welcome address, Ms. Charu Maini warmly greeted the parents and highlighted the importance of sports in nurturing confidence, discipline, and holistic development from an early age.Promoting health, harmony and inner balance, the students presented a graceful Rhythmic Yoga performance that was truly soothing to the eyes. The beautifully coordinated ‘Chandra Namaskar’ highlighted not just flexibility, but also mindfulness and mental well-being. The energy reached new heights as students showcased their strength and agility through Gymnastics, leaving the audience spellbound.The excitement reached its peak as athletes participated in a series of thrilling races. A standout highlight of the evening was the vibrant and electrifying Zumba Performance, which filled the atmosphere with joy and boundless energy. Watching the young performers groove with such enthusiasm was truly heartwarming. Enhancing the spectacle were captivating Hula Hoop and Skating performances, where young participants impressed with their exceptional balance, coordination, and confidence at such a young age.Ms. Timsy Bhatia, Supervisory Head, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to everyone for their unwavering support and contribution.The evening culminated on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, filling hearts with pride and unity. Jazba 2026 truly stood as a celebration of spirit, resilience and sportsmanship, leaving behind unforgettable memories and inspiring every young athlete to continue striving for greatness.
