INTER HOUSE COMPETITION - JAM

DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, hosted an Inter-House Just A Minute (JAM) Extempore Competition for Grade V students on 29 April 2026, an event that celebrated spontaneity, clarity, and confidence in young speakers.

The competition brought together enthusiastic participants from all the six houses, each tasked with speaking on a topic given on the spot for exactly one minute. The format tested not only their quick thinking but also their ability to engage an audience with poise and creativity.

The atmosphere was vibrant, with peers cheering and encouraging their house representatives. The event highlighted the budding talent of the students, many of whom impressed the judges with their vocabulary, stage presence, and ability to think on their feet.

The competition fostered healthy competition among houses and reinforced the importance of effective communication as a life skill.The JAM extempore proved to be more than just a contest—it was a platform for nurturing confidence, creativity, and leadership in young learners, leaving an inspiring mark on both participants and audience alike. Mayra from 5D won the First prize, Hitaishi from 5B won the Second prize, Namya from 5B and Aadira Sharma from 5F jointly won the Third prize. Tvarita Bhatia from 5A and Viraj Sachdeva from 5B jointly won the Encouragement prize.
