DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram proudly hosted the Valedictory Ceremony of Resonance 2026, an Inter-School Literary Competition, on 04 May 2026. The event witnessed spirited participation from nearly 200 students representing various DAV schools across NCR, including GPSC schools and other distinguished institutions. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, the School Manager, Ma'am Adarsh Kohli, whose presence lent great prestige to the occasion. The event also featured accomplished alumni as judges for the much-anticipated event Harangue, Ms. Simran Yadav and Ms. Gitika Arora, whose discerning evaluation and insightful observations added depth and credibility to the competition. The programme commenced with a gracious welcome by the school Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, who extended her greetings to the participating schools and underscored the significance of nurturing 21st century skills such as effective communication, creativity, and critical thinking. She highlighted the indispensable role of such platforms in preparing students for the evolving global landscape. Resonance 2026 showcased a diverse array of engaging online events, including Twist a Tale, Traversing Verses, RJ Wars, and Poetic Musings. The winners of these events were felicitated amidst resounding applause. The final round of Harangue, a keenly awaited segment, was conducted offline, where participants exhibited remarkable eloquence and confidence, and the winners were declared. Before the prize distribution ceremony, the audience was captivated by a graceful presentation of Bhumi Mangalam, a classical dance performance that added a cultural and spiritual essence to the occasion, invoking positivity and setting an auspicious tone for the felicitation. In her address, Chief Guest Ma'am Adarsh Kohli emphasised the growing relevance of literary and dramatic pursuits in contemporary education. She articulated that today’s youth is increasingly exploring diverse career avenues beyond conventional professions, and such competitions serve as vital platforms for cultivating essential life skills, self-expression, and confidence. The alumni judges shared their inspiring journeys, expressing profound gratitude to their alma mater for nurturing their abilities and instilling in them the confidence and competencies that continue to guide them as young professionals. The formal proceedings culminated with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the Supervisory Head and HOD English, Ms. Pooja Yadav, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Chief Guest, alumni judges, participating schools, organizing team, and all stakeholders for their invaluable contributions in making the event a resounding success.
