INTER HOUSE COMPETITION

“Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words.” – Edgar Allan Poe

With the aim of nurturing confidence, expression, creativity and love for literature among students, an Inter House English Poem Recitation Competition was organised for Classes III-V at DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram on 22nd May 2026. The event provided a wonderful platform for young learners to showcase their recitation skills and poetic expression.

The competition witnessed vibrant performances filled with expression, voice modulation, gestures and emotions. The young reciters captivated the audience with their confidence and eloquence, truly bringing the poems to life. The event not only enhanced students’ speaking and presentation skills but also encouraged appreciation for poetry and literature.

The judges appreciated the efforts, pronunciation, clarity, expression and stage presence of the participants. The competition concluded on a joyful note, leaving everyone inspired by the talent and enthusiasm of the budding poets.
