13th Gurugram Police Cyber Security Summer Internship 2026

DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram, in collaboration with Gurugram Police and Dr. Rakshit Tandon, successfully organized the 13th Gurugram Police Cyber Security Summer Internship (GPCSSI) 2026. The month-long programme commenced with a grand inauguration ceremony on 2 June 2026 and concluded with an equally dignified closing ceremony on 27 June 2026 at the school premises.
The inaugural event began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, creating an atmosphere of positivity and learning. The ceremony was graced by Shri Prateek Gahlot, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic & Cyber), Gurugram, as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished dignitaries included Shri Gaurav Phogat, HPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime), Gurugram, and Dr. Rakshit Tandon, renowned Cyber Security Evangelist, Cyber Crime Investigator, and Risk Advisory Leader. Guests were welcomed with a Green Welcome Ceremony by Principal Ms. Charu Maini.
During the programme, Dr. Rakshit Tandon introduced the objectives and scope of the internship, emphasizing the importance of cyber awareness, responsible digital citizenship, and vigilance against online threats. During the month-long internship, participants engaged in a wide range of enriching and practical activities designed to build cyber awareness and investigative skills. They attended insightful sessions by eminent cyber security experts and police officers, including ACP Cyber Crime Priyanshu Dewan, who explained the modus operandi of various cyber crimes in a clear and engaging manner. The interns also undertook field visits to cyber police stations, where they gained first-hand exposure to cybercrime investigation processes, digital evidence handling, and the functioning of cyber law enforcement units. Under the mentorship of Dr. Rakshit Tandon, the programme provided a valuable blend of classroom learning, expert interaction, and field experience, helping participants develop a deeper understanding of cyber safety, vigilance, and responsible digital citizenship.
Students presented a melodious rendition of “Count on Me” during the closing ceremony on 27th June 2026, while vibrant cultural performances by the DAVPS 49 dance team added energy to the inauguration. The internship was supported by Gurugram Police, PHDCCI, DLA, and other partner organizations committed to promoting cyber safety and digital literacy. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and group photographs, leaving behind cherished memories and a deeper commitment to creating responsible, informed, and cyber-aware digital citizens.
