As part of the Science Week celebrations, DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, organized a workshop on "Forensic Science and Applications of Biotechnology" for the students of Classes XI and XII on 07 July 2026.

The workshop featured eminent resource persons from Amity University, Noida. Dr. Priyanka Gopi and Dr. Majji Sai Sudha Rani conducted an engaging session on Forensic Science and Crime Scene Investigation, explaining crime scene management, evidence collection, fingerprint analysis, DNA profiling, and forensic toxicology. A major highlight was the interactive crime scene investigation activity, where students actively examined clues, analysed evidence, and applied scientific reasoning to solve a simulated case.

The second session, led by Dr. Manish Kumar from the Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University, Noida, focused on the Applications of Biotechnology in healthcare, agriculture, environmental conservation, and research. He also highlighted the vast career opportunities in biotechnology, forensic science, microbiology, molecular biology, and scientific research.

The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, allowing students to clarify their doubts and explore future academic and career pathways.

The workshop was organized under the inspiring leadership and constant guidance of Principal Ms. Charu Maini, whose vision for promoting scientific learning and experiential education made this enriching programme possible.
