DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, successfully hosted a two-day Capacity Building Programme for Primary and Middle Science teachers on 25th and 27th June 2026. The programme commenced on an auspicious note with the soulful DAV Gaan, followed by a warm welcome by our esteemed Principal, Charu Maini, who felicitated the Master Trainers with eco-friendly green planters, symbolising growth, learning and sustainability.

The enriching workshop brought together educators from various DAV schools, providing them with a valuable platform to explore contemporary pedagogical practices aligned with NEP 2020, CBSE and NCERT reforms. The sessions focused on strengthening classroom teaching through competency-based learning, curriculum mapping, computational thinking, scientific vocabulary enhancement, experiential learning, STEAM integration and innovative assessment practices.

A significant highlight of the programme was the integration of modern teaching methodologies and Artificial Intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, Diffit, NotebookLM and Claude AI, enabling teachers to simplify complex scientific concepts and create more engaging, learner-centred classrooms. Participants enthusiastically engaged in hands-on activities, collaborative discussions, science learning stations, competency-based question framing and interdisciplinary STEAM projects that fostered creativity, critical thinking and inquiry-based learning.

The programme served as a dynamic platform for professional growth, exchange of best practices and reflective learning. The active participation of educators and the insightful guidance of the Master Trainers made the workshop a truly enriching experience, empowering teachers to build future-ready classrooms and nurture scientific temperament among young learners.
