DAV Public School, Sector 49, celebrated Annual Day 2026 – Mary Poppins: The Musical Broadway with unparalleled grandeur and artistic brilliance. Enthrallingly presented by the students of Grades VII and VIII, the celebration beautifully blended music, theatre, dance and values, reflecting the school's unwavering commitment to holistic education. The event was organised under the able guidance of the chairman of the school, Shri Prabodh Mahajan ji, manager Mrs Adarsh Kohli ji, patronage of Shri Yogesh Munjal ji and the visionary leadership of our esteemed Principal, Ms. Charu Maini.

The programme commenced with the soulful DAV Gaan, followed by "Symphony: The Melodious Rhythm," the ceremonial Lamp Lighting, and the devotional presentation "दिव्यांजलि," creating an atmosphere of reverence and inspiration. The celebration was graced by distinguished members of the DAV fraternity, including Shri Yogi Suri Ji, Distinguished Leader of the DAV Fraternity, National President, Arya Yuva Samaj and Founder & Joint Editor, Daily Milap; Mrs. Priya Suri, Core Member, Milap Publication; Shri V. P. Bajaj Ji, Chairman, Building Sub-Committee; Dr. D. S. Sharma, LMC Member; along with eminent Principals Ms. Reena Sharma (DAV Public School, Sector 14), Ms. Nisha Kaushik (DAV Public School, Hailey Mandi), Ms. Nancy Sharma (DAV Police Public School),Ms Meetu Budhiraja ( HoS DAV Sec-10A, Gurugram) ,esteemed PTA members and parent representatives.

In her welcome address, Principal Ms. Charu Maini highlighted DAV's vision of Panchkoshiya Vikas, emphasising the holistic development of learners by nurturing their physical, intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual dimensions. The Annual Report showcased the school's outstanding achievements, followed by "सुरों का संगम : प्यार का बंधन" and the felicitation of the co-curricular achievers of Grades VI and VII.

The Broadway musical "Mary Poppins" captivated the audience with its mesmerising performances and profound message of abandoning laziness, excuses and negativity while embracing discipline, perseverance, gratitude and self-belief. The production beautifully echoed the guiding principles of the National Education Policy, enabling students to imbibe essential 21st-century skills such as creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, leadership, adaptability and problem-solving.

In his inspiring address, Shri Yogi Suri Ji encouraged everyone to remain original, discover their unique potential and never imitate others. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks. More than a cultural celebration, the evening became a meaningful journey of learning, inspiring students to embrace the enduring values of integrity, empathy, compassion, resilience, teamwork, responsibility, respect, excellence and service to society.
