INTER-HOUSE SOUVENIR MAKING COMPETITION

“Art is a reflection of a nation’s rich cultural heritage.”

The Inter-House Souvenir Making Competition was organised at DAV Public School, Sector–49, Gurugram, on 14 October 2026 for Classes III to V, under the theme “My Nation, My Pride.” The competition provided students with an opportunity to explore India’s cultural diversity and showcase the unique identity of different states through creative souvenir designs.

Each house was represented by a team of three students from Classes III, IV, and V. The participants worked collaboratively, sharing responsibilities and combining their ideas to create attractive and meaningful souvenirs. The activity nurtured creativity, teamwork, coordination, communication, planning, and time management among the young learners.

The competition encouraged students to research and incorporate five significant elements representing their chosen state, thereby enhancing their knowledge of India’s iconic landmarks, traditional art forms, and cultural practices. It also fostered an appreciation of the country’s diverse heritage and strengthened their sense of national pride.

The event served as a wonderful platform for students to demonstrate their imagination, artistic skills, and dedication. The judges appreciated the innovative ideas, intricate detailing, and enthusiastic participation displayed by the teams. Overall, the competition was a memorable celebration of creativity, unity, patriotism, and India’s cultural richness.

Participants of Preeti house won the First prize, participants of  Jyoti house  won the Second prize, participants of Shakti and Neeti house jointly won the Third prize, Special Mention prize was won by the participants of Kirti house and Jagriti house won the  Encouragement prize.
