D.A.V. Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, concluded the celebration of Science week by organizing “Advanced Hands on DNA workshop on Molecular Biology and Molecular Marker Analysis” for the students of classes IX to XII on 21^st July 2017. The workshop was conducted by Mr. V.K Singh , the Director and Founder member of Escherichia Genomics P.Ltd, who is an expert in Molecular Marker and DNA fingerprinting.

In this workshop,  the students got hands on experience of  DNA isolation from plants and animals which gave them the opportunity to decipher, learn and explore the possibilities in the world of science. A lecture was also delivered about the basic fundamental of molecular biology techniques and DNA fingerprinting which gave deep insight of the subject to the students and in turn piqued their interest to know more. The students were highly benefitted by the workshop as it helped them  to develop skills for all kinds of DNA isolation and entrepreneurship development in biotechnology.
