From Waste to Wonder | Kabad Se Jugaad

As part of the nationwide “Seva Mera Yogdan” and “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) organised an enriching educational visit to the Waste-to-Wonder Park, Sector 14, on 29 September 2026.

Under the visionary guidance of Principal Ms. Charu Maini, DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram participated with 20 students from Classes XI & XII and one student from Class IX. The visit offered students a hands-on opportunity to explore how discarded materials can be creatively transformed into useful resources.

🌱 Mr. Kuldeep Hindustani, Brand Ambassador, MCG, encouraged students to look at waste as a resource, while Ms. Priyanka Yadav, IEC Expert, MCG, guided them through innovative applications such as plastic-bottle planters, glass-bottle money-plant holders and cube seating created from waste bottles.

The experience transformed environmental awareness into meaningful, experiential learning, nurturing students’ creativity, practical thinking and sense of environmental responsibility. It brought the spirit of “Kabad Se Jugaad” and “Kabad Se Kala” to life beyond the classroom.

The programme was supported by Ms. Meenakshi Awal (DAV Sector 49); Ms. Neerja & Mr. Avinash (Government Middle School, Sector 14); and the HMS team—Mr. Anirudh, Mr. Manoj, Mr. Rajan & Mr. Rahul.
