DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram in collaboration with District Education Office, Gurugram organized a Zonal Level Science Quiz Contest under the guidance of Haryana State Council For Science, Innovation and Technology Department, Panchkula Region on 16 March 2022, with an objective of developing scientific temperament and spirit of inquisitiveness amongst students. This competition has provided an opportunity and platform to 81 young learners of schools affiliated to Haryana Board from Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal, Mahendergarh, Rewari, and Nuh districts to explore the unknown.

The event commenced in the presence of Mr. Bhoop Singh, Scientific Engineer from Science and Technology Department, Panchkula, the school Principal Ms. Charu Maini, Ms. Dhanvanti Chhaya, DSS Gurugram. The quiz master of the day was Dr. Anil Arora, PGT Physics, Lohani.

The quiz began with the preliminary round which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 27 teams, but only 8 teams were selected for the final round. The young upcoming scientists of this round exhibited their scientific acumen and the latest technological developments in the field of science. The top three teams are as follows:

First Position: S.K.G. Sr. Sec. School Bhakli, Rewari

Second Position: GMSSSS, TP, Istmurar, Rewari

Third Position: GBSSS, OLD FARIDABAD

The school Principal Ms. Charu Maini felicitated the winners and motivated them to work hard to reach the pinnacle of glory. The top three teams would get Rs. 20,000, 15000 and 12,000 respectively.
