The Kindergarten Department of DAVPS, Sec-49, Gurugram came alive in the forenoon of 4th Aug 22 with the hustle and bustle of a “Kiddies Fruit and Veggies Market” arranged for the tiny tots of Lkg by their teachers. There were quite a number of little vendors in the market, selling a wide variety of fruits and vegetables in lovely baskets, each item tagged with its prize.The whole market was vibrant with music and that too with songs of vegetables and fruits. There was integration of fun, frolic, dance, songs, math, science, language, art, craft and values. The objective of this activity was to help children understand that there are different types of fruits and vegetables and eating them helps us stay healthy and fit.Children learned through their senses-taking in through sight, smell, sound, texture and tastes of the market. And finally the children found their love for fruits and vegetables.
