It is rightly said that innovation is the production of a creative idea. The creative thinkers of DAV Public School, Uppal’s Southend, Sector-49, Gurugram navigated an uncharted territory and brought their vision to fruition. Our students, Vansh Gupta, Yash Dagar, Ansh Agrawal, and Aryan Lohchab of Grade XII participated in the Tech Challenge: UCJC Global Prize for Schools organized by Camilo José Cela University (UCJC), Spain.
They developed a prototype for an AI-based App- HealthyGrove which used machine learning,nlp and computer vision . Their main focus was on providing solutions for 4 SDGs - zero hunger sustainable cities and communities, life on Land, and Climate action through this app. After completing various phases of the month-long challenge, our students were selected in the top 5 who presented their idea at the T4 teacher tech summit attended by representatives of 153 countries.
Their idea was appreciated by a panel of judges including Caroline Jenner, Chief Operating Officer at JA Worldwide; Verna Lalbehaire, Executive Director at The EdTech Hub, USA; Stephen Heppell, Director of the Felipe Segovia Chair of Innovation for Learning at UCJC; Xavi Pascual, CEO at Be Challenge; and David Martin, Director of CAILAB European Projects. We are proud to share that our students are awarded academic certification. They will also get an opportunity to improve their project under the mentorship of UCJC.
