Orientation Programme

Active parental engagement is fundamental for nurturing the holistic development of a child. An Orientation Programme was conducted at DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram on 17.03.2024, aiming to foster high levels of parental involvement and provide a comprehensive understanding of the school's educational principles to new parents of Kindergarten students.School Principal, Ms. Charu Maini accorded a warm welcome to the parents and congratulated them on being a part of the DAV family.Parents were apprised of the School's philosophy on the thematic, integrated and panchkosha approach to make learning a pleasurable experience.She laid stress on effective communication among the teachers, students and parents so that the children could be provided with the best for their overall development.She also gave guidelines about effective parenting by reaffirming qualities like resilience, hardwork and sincerity.Supervisory Head, Ms.Timsy Bhatia further oriented the parents on how the formative years help in forming habits and attitudes of children and urged them to infuse in them, pride, self-discipline, commitment and integrity. She urged the parents 'to work with the child rather than working on the child'.The parents were introduced to our school's comprehensive and dynamic curriculum, which encompasses daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly planners, designed to nurture both fundamental and forward-thinking skills.The orientation program was well-received by parents, who appreciated the valuable insights provided, showcasing the school's commitment to empowering parents to support their children's development effectively.
