#JAZBAA 2 (III-V)

Sports bring everyone together, and through sport, we can create a healthy society, and when we have a healthy society, we will surely have a healthy country. 

DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram hosted the much awaited Annual Sports Day of the Primary Wing, JAZBAA 2, on the sprawling grounds of the school on 17.03.24. The morning was filled with great zeal, excitement, and a frolicsome atmosphere. The Annual Sports Day was held for the grades III to V. Their parents were cordially invited to the event. The principal of the school, Ms. Charu Maini spoke on the importance of sports, sportsmanship, and fitness. She encouraged the parents as well as students to stay committed towards staying fit and administered the pledge of fitness. Her words of encouragement filled the air with excitement, and all got ready for a morning of sporting extravaganza. 

The day began with yoga performed by the students of grade III. As the morning sunshine brightened the day, the young yogis did Suryanamaskars as a mass exercise. Their rhythmic movements to the beat of soothing music set the tone for the rest of the day. 

The competitive event began with the races of 100 m and 200 m for both boys and girls, followed by hurdles races for all three grades. The young athletes participated in a great amalgamation of track and field events and some interesting and fun races as well. The energetic and nimble-footed athletes performed and won in the various events with flying colours.

The zealous parents gathered in large numbers continuously applauded the enthusiastic young sports stars. The principal, Ms.Charu Maini, rewarded the winners of the various races and other events with medals and congratulated them for their victory. 

The event continuously laid emphasis on the importance of sports in a child's life and their physical and mental development. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and memories to cherish.
