RAM KATHA - SAGA OF LORD SRI RAM

The young devotees of Class-I brought the timeless epic of ‘Ram Katha - Saga of Lord Sri Ram’ to life in a heartwarming enactment on 8th October, 2024 in the school premises. With vibrant costumes, graceful movements, captivating devotional chanting and expressive dialogues, the children portrayed the key episodes from the life of Lord Sri Ram, leaving the audience mesmerized by their innocent yet spellbinding performance. Student orchestra performed a beautiful piece during the program, showcasing their musical talent and teamwork.The gala musical extravaganza began with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest Dr. Rachna Gupta, a distinguished member of the Customs, Excise & Service Tax Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi Bench, Manager of the school, Ms Adarsh Kohli, Principal of the school, Mrs. Charu Maini, Dr. K.K. Khurana, an esteemed educationist and social worker and other esteemed guests. Students presented a beautiful vandana dance, invoking the divine blessings for an auspicious and enlightened beginning of the program.Dr. Rachna Gupta, the esteemed Chief Guest of the day, expressed deep admiration for the charismatic presentation by our young DAVians and shared valuable words of guidance and motivation. She was enthralled to witness the enchanting world of Ramayana being presented as a delightful tapestry of emotion and devotion.In her speech, the School’s Manager commended the students for their captivating and heartfelt enactment.Ms Charu Maini, the Principal of the school, acclaimed the young perfomers for their outstanding portrayal while enriching their minds with the profound teachings of the Ramayana. She emphasised that The Ramayana, one of the most revered epic of Indian culture, is rich with teachings that resonate deeply with the essential skills needed in 21st Century such as collaboration, critical thinking, resilience, problem-solving and the values of righteousness, devotion, and courage.One of the highlights of the day was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, recognizing numerous dynamic and deserving students who had demonstrated their abilities in various in-house and interschool competitions.They were lauded with certificates and prizes.The vote of thanks was delivered by the Supervisory Head, Ms.Timsy Bhatia, where she expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the guests, principal, teachers, students, and parents.The program was not only a learning experience for the students but also a reminder for the entire audience of the timeless lessons of virtue, humility and compassion that Sri Ram’s story continues to teach.
