DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram organised a successful blood donation camp in collaboration with the Red Cross Society in the school premises on 19 October 2024. The event was held under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Nishant Kumar Yadav and Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Hitesh Kumar Meena, with support from Red Cross Secretary Mr. Vikas Kumar.
Coordinated by Ms. Shyama Rajput, Head of First Aid Dealing from the Red Cross Society, and Warden Ms. Kavita Sarkar, the camp saw active participation from staff and students. Notable attendees included Principal Ms. Charu Maini, along with medical nurses and esteemed teachers Ms. Parul Thakkar, Ms. Swati Bajpai, Ms. Aruna Singh, and Ms. Suman Lata, who played vital roles in assisting donors. The blood bank team, consisting of Dr. Amit Chaudhary, Ms. Sulakshana, Ms. Sangeeta (Nursing Officer), Ms. Ananta, Mr. Himanshu, and Mr. Vicky, facilitated the medical procedures. Approximately 60 people donated blood, contributing to this noble cause. The event highlighted the importance of blood donation and the impact each contribution can have in saving lives. Participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to support the community. The collaboration between the school and the Red Cross Society showcased a strong commitment to social responsibility and health awareness, inspiring many to consider regular blood donations in the future.
