YOGA COMPETITION (III-V)
“The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life.” - B.K.S. Iyengar
DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram organised 'Yoga Competition' for the students of class III on 16.10.24 and for the students of classes IV and V on 15.10.24. It was an inter-house competition in which five students from each house participated. All the participants were well prepared for the competition. They performed a variety of yogasanas almost effortlessly and really impressed the judges with their strength, gracefulness, flexibility and correctness of posture. It was evident that all the participants practiced yoga regularly. The judges had a tough time choosing the winners.
The Yoga Competition was indeed like a breath of fresh air that refreshed our belief in the wholesome goodness of yoga. The young yogis of our school, through their top-notch performances, reaffirmed their commitment towards leading an active and healthy life. Their passion for yoga proved beyond any doubt that yoga is not just about being flexible and keeping fit rather, the practice of yoga teaches us to be ‘sthira sukham’ meaning ‘steady and joyful’.
