INTER HOUSE SCIENCE RAP (III-V)

Science is a fun subject in which we learn about ourselves and the world we live in - plants, animals, our food and also natural phenomena such as cyclones, volcanoes and so on. It becomes even more fun and entertaining when it’s combined with rap music. DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram organised a SCIENCE RAP competition for the students of grades III to V on 11 December 2024. It was a selection-based competition in which the young enthusiastic

rappers integrated hip hop music with the concepts they have learnt in their science classrooms. They presented a variety of science-themed raps highlighting topical issues such conservation of natural resources, the significance of food and health and also unravelled the mystery of scientific processes. Participants of all the houses were well versed with their topic and presented their rap songs with clarity, conviction and eloquence. Their meticulous getups and props added more zing to their stellar performances. The judges as well as the audience got immersed in the world of science through rhythmic verses and catchy beats. Advika Dawara (V C) from Preeti house won the First prize, Ersheen Grover (IV B) from Neeti house won the Second prize, Yahvi Deeva (III F) from Jagriti house won the Third prize and Aanvi Suhag (IV C) from Jagriti house won the Encouragement prize.
