Inter-House Literary Karaoke Competition 2025 for Class VIII
Event Start Date : 23/04/2025 Event End Date 23/04/2025 As part of the celebration of World Book Day, DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram, organised the Inter-House Literary Karaoke Competition for Class VIII on 23 April 2025. The event celebrated the confluence of music and literature, as students performed songs inspired by novels and literary works. Enthusiastic participants from all six houses—Neeti, Preeti, Jyoti, Jagriti, Shakti, and Kirti—showcased their vocal talent and literary understanding. The event aimed to foster an appreciation for literature through lyrical expression, exploring themes of motivation, patriotism, love, spirituality, and inner conflict. The highlight of the event was the powerful rendition of Mahabharat Katha by Rudra Nagpal of Shakti House, and the soulful duet Manjha by Gopi Shenoy Saini and Annika, inspired by Chetan Bhagat’s novel The Three Mistakes of My Life - 1st Position: Gopi Shenoy Saini (Shakti House) and Rudra Nagpal (Shakti House) - 2nd Position: Peehu Saxena (Jyoti House), Vedansh Rao (Jyoti House), and Anaisha Kaushik (Jagriti House). - Consolation Prize: Harsh Atreja (Preeti House) The judges appreciated the creativity, confidence, and depth of interpretation displayed by the participants. The event beautifully highlighted how literature lives on through diverse art forms, making reading and music a powerful, expressive blend.
