In continuation with the World Book Day celebration, DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram successfully conducted another Inter-House New Anchoring Competition for the students of grade VII on 24 April 2025. It was an exciting competition, aimed to showcase the students’ communication skills, confidence, and media presentation abilities. The lively and engaging competition was designed to enhance students’ communication skills, confidence, and media presentation abilities. Participants from all six houses—Preeti, Shakti, Jagriti, Neeti, Jyoti, and Kirti—enthusiastically took part in the event.

Each team crafted a unique news channel concept, complete with catchy taglines, handmade backgrounds, and creative visual elements to support their presentation. Students delivered impressive 1–2 minute live news segments covering Breaking News, School Updates, Sports Highlights, and Creative Weather Reports. Results of the competition are as follows:

First Position: Saanvi Thakran (VII E) – Shakti House ; Ishana Lamba (VII B) – Shakti House ; Second Position: Navya Gupta (VII A) – Kirti House; Aradhya Singla (VII C) – Jagriti House ; Consolation Prize: Aradhya Pandey (VII A) – Jagriti House.

The competition proved to be a wonderful platform for students to explore media literacy and develop public speaking skills, all while commemorating World Book Day in a creative and enriching manner.
