As part of the celebration of World Book Day, DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram, organised the Inter-House Book Talk Competition for Grade VI on 25 April 2025. It was a vibrant celebration of imagination, creativity, and the love for books. Held with much excitement and participation, the event brought together young bibliophiles who confidently stepped into the world of storytelling.

Each participant introduced their chosen book with clarity and enthusiasm, sharing its title, author, genre, and a brief, spoiler-free summary. With heartfelt passion, they spoke about their favourite characters and scenes, offering thoughtful reflections that revealed a deep connection with the stories.

What made the event truly magical was the creativity on display — students dressed as characters, used imaginative props, and even enacted short dialogues. Handmade book covers, bookmarks, and posters added a delightful visual charm to their presentations. The event beautifully blended reading with performance, making every talk memorable.

The winners of the competition were:

2nd Position: Jansi Yadav - Jagriti House

Aarna Parihaar- Shakti House

Special mention-Paavni and Kartiken Neeti House

The judges were deeply impressed by the students' originality, confidence, and literary understanding. The event went beyond just celebrating books—it sparked imagination, encouraged creative expression, and nurtured a spirit of healthy competition among the houses. It was a truly enriching experience that highlighted the power of stories to connect, inspire, and transform young minds.
