DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, organised an insightful Orientation Programme for the parents and guardians of students from Grades VI to X on 26.04.2025. The event aimed to build a strong bridge between the school and parents, reaffirming the belief that a child's success is best nurtured through a collaborative partnership between home and school.

The session began with a warm welcome, setting the tone for the day’s informative proceedings. The highlight of the event was the address by the Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, a visionary leader whose remarkable contributions to education have earned her national recognition. The Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, also highlighted the school’s academic results and the outstanding achievements of its students. She emphasised the importance of regular schooling over dummy schools, underlining how consistent school engagement supports holistic development. The session witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately 1000 parents attending and showing their enthusiastic support.

The session became even more inspiring with the presence of Parth Gupta, an alumnus from the 2017–18 batch, who shared his journey and spoke about how his school experience played a pivotal role in shaping his career and helping him secure his dream job.

Following the Principal’s address, the School Counsellor, Ms. Taru, took the stage to introduce the Talisman of Happiness, focusing on the importance of emotional well-being. She shared simple strategies to manage stress and emphasized how students can cultivate happiness while navigating academic and personal challenges.

Next, Ms. Chanda Narula, Supervisory Head, conducted the class-wise orientation for Grades VI to X. Her session provided parents with a clear understanding of the academic framework, examination system, school policies, and expectations for the academic year. The comprehensive presentation helped parents feel more connected and informed about their child’s academic journey.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the presence of parents, the insightful contributions of the speakers, and the dedicated efforts of the school staff. The orientation successfully set a positive tone for the year ahead, promising a fruitful and collaborative partnership between parents and the school.
