HINDI MONTH CELEBRATIONS- CLASSES III-V
To rekindle the love for India's official language Hindi, The Primary wing of D.A.V.P.S, Sec-49, Uppal Southend celebrated Hindi Month from 2nd August to 28th August.
Many creative and engaging activities related to the Hindi language were organized with great fervor and enthusiasm which brought out their creative skills.
The first week of Hindi Month celebrations began with various mass competitions for classes 3 to 5.Class 3 students wrote naming words and made word trains by coining a new word with the last letter of the previous word.They did this on colourful cutouts and created attractive wall hangings which were later displayed to give them the feeling of self-achievement.
The students of class 4 created a colourful collage based on weather. It was a competition which brought out their self-expression.It reflected their natural desire to explore the world through their sense of touch. It helped children to develop their aesthetic sense. And also to see beauty and patterns in ordinary things.
The students of class 5 enthusiastically wrote Moral stories along with pictures and created 3D models for the same giving a suitable title to the story .They used new array of vocabulary ,phrases ,idioms to create their story and artistic skills to create scenes.
In the second week ,Mass Competition on Slogan Writing was organised for classes 3 to 5 wherein they represented their thoughts on the following topics with great gusto.
Dharti Kya Kehti Humse- class3
Bharat Desh Mahan- class 4
Hindi Humara Abhiman- class 5
The catchy slogans on the above topics helped them unleash their thinking power and creativity.This activity helped them in unlocking their capability to write as they came up with beautiful, apt and thought provoking slogans.
The third week witnessed the students' swellings with pride and honour as they took part in the Patriotic song competition.The songs glorified the history,culture, traditions and struggles of the Indian people during the pre-independence and post independence period.The soulful rendition of patriotic songs induced patriotism in the audience.
The last week of Hindi month was reserved for the highly captivating and intriguing Nukkad Natak which was performed by classes 3 to 5. The theme of the Nukkad Natak Competition was social issues. All the houses presented very well prepared and thoughtful dramas on prevailing social issues like 'Save the Girl Child', Say No To Crackers', 'Terrorism' etc. The enactments were very enthralling and educational as they grabbed the attention of the audience with their humour, songs, dialogues and hard-hitting messages.
The entire month-long activities brought cheer on the faces of the students and infused enthusiasm among them to explore, respect and commemorate their mother tongue with pride and joy in its different hues and flavours.
