"The future belongs to those who understand that doing more with less is compassionate, prosperous and endearing, and thus more intelligent, even competitive."
'Everything is connected to everything else' is often called the first law of Ecology.
Helping human society to prosper in the 21st century requires that we should recognise the importance of living in balance with our physical environment. Keeping the same in view, D.A.V Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram has joined hands with the Karo Sambhav Association and Juana Technologies to generate and foster awareness about E-Waste management.
The students of the school collected E-Waste for its proper management. Various activities under this mega environment saving project, were conducted in the school like model making, industrial symbiosis, group discussion, Power Point Presentations, radio show, essay writing, rally and pledge, street play, field survey etc. at school level to sensitise the dynamic learners. The project aims to create awareness about this global issue, thereby bringing about a change to restore the beauty of this planet.
An Inter School Event was organised in the school where participants from 13 schools of Gurugram showcased their efforts at E-Waste management through presentations familiarising all with their dedicated efforts towards E-Waste management. The event began with the welcome address by the School Principal, Ms. Charu Maini, who gave the message to be active ambassadors to save the environment. The students played a wonderful music by using the E-Waste as their musical instrument. Ms. Swati Ganguly, the Director of Juana Technologies and Ms. Smita Polite, Marketing and Communication Head of Karo Sambhav team motivated everyone to rise up for the noble cause. All the schools put up their best show and expressed their intent to be the initiators of the desired change.
